Serving Fayette County Georgia and the world community.
Fayette Daybreak Rotary Club is a member of Georgia District 6900.

We come together for fun, fellowship, and above all - service to others.

We meet at 7:15 am each Tuesday morning at the Peachtree City Hotel and Conference Center. Come join us!

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS
POT OF GOLD FOR LITERACY: At our weekly meetings, members drop $1, $3, $5, etc. into the "Pot of Gold" and share wishes, recognitions, or thanks for each dollar they add to the pot. All proceeds are then donated to local literacy projects including GED training, summer reading programs, and more.
PAWS FOR A PURPOSE: Proceeds from this annual event benefit animal welfare groups. Past recipients have included Fayette Humane Society, Good Shepherd Humane Society, Pets for Vets, and others.
TYRONE FOUNDERS DAY RACE: This fall 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk is held in honor of Tyrone Elementary School. Proceeds from the race help support our club's service projects throughout the year. The race is held as part of the weekend-long annual Tryone Founders Day celebration. Our club also helps with parking at this event.
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING: We offer free refreshments at the Christmas Tree Lighting each year in Tyrone and collect donations for the Rotary CART Fund (Coins for Alzheimer's Research Trust).

This year, our club was honored to be awarded a 2016-2017 District Grant. Funds from the grant will be used for service projects supporting two area non-profits. One group is Promise Place, a shelter for victims of domestic violence in Fayette County. The other is Armed Forces Mission, an organization working to prevent suicide by veterans and other members of our community. It is our privilege to work with these amazing groups.

APPLES FOR TEACHERS: We present apples, chocolates, and pocket calendars each year to the teachers and staff at Sandy Creek High School, Flat Rock Middle School, and Burch Elementary School in Tyrone to show our appreciation for their service to children.
TEACHER OF THE YEAR RECOGNITION BREAKFAST: Each year we invite Teachers of the Year (and their Principals) from area public schools to a special breakfast. The teachers are honored and given gifts and supplies from Staples, the Bank of North Georgia, and our Fayette Daybreak Rotary Club.
POLICE OFFICER OF THE YEAR RECOGNITION BREAKFAST: Every year we invite Police Officers of the Year, and their superiors, to join us for breakfast.
VETERANS DAY EVENT: In November, our club helps host the Veterans Day Event in Tyrone to honor those who have given so much for our country.

INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
SOLES FOR SOULS SHOE DRIVE: We collect new and gently-used shoes to donate to this non-profit that distributes shoes to people in need throughout the world.
EYE GLASS COLLECTION: We collect new and gently-used eye glasses to donate to organizations that deliver them to people around the world who cannot afford the eye care they need.
TOOLS FOR EMPOWERMENT: Our club donates gently-used tools which are refurbished and passed along to Haitian youth who have received vocational training but lack the tools needed to find employment.

NEW GENERATIONS PROJECTS
SANDY CREEK HIGH SCHOOL INTERACT CLUB: Interact is Rotary International’s service club for 12 -18 year-olds. Interact Clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary Clubs, and we are honored to sponsor the students at Sandy Creek High School. In addition to helping out with many of our projects, Interact members work on several service projects of their own throughout the year, learning first hand about "Service Above Self".
ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARDS (RYLA): Rotary's leadership training program for youth ages 14-30 that focuses on leadership, citizenship, and personal growth. Each year our club tries to send an eligible high school student to this special program.
